What is IRRS?

The IRRS 2024 or the Inter-Regional Research Symposium hosted by SEAMEO RIHED is a dynamic platform for higher education researchers, ed-tech practitioners, academics, educators, lifelong learners, and interested stakeholders across the regions to convene and exchange knowledge, good practices, insights on higher education and sustainable development.

Where is the venue?

The IRRS 2024 will be held at the Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand.

What are the event highlights?

Over the course of two days, the symposium will consist of regional policy dialogue, plenary and keynote presentations, concurrent presentations of original research from the participants, gender equity, diversity, and inclusion tracking, and networking sessions.

Is the accommodation provided?

No, but we have secured a special rate for the Sukosol Hotel. Please see the list of accommodations via our website for the rate and other recommended accommodation.

What if I missed the early-bird date for submission and payment?

No worries! You can still register with our regular rate of $250 per person until 30 September 2024. There's also special rate for the group of 5 with $1150

What if I registered but realized that I can't attend?

Please note that no refund will be made in the case of cancellation of Registration by the registrants

Will the event be held hybrid/online?

No, the IRRS 2024 is an in-person event which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand.

What if we are going as a group?

Promotion for a group of 5 is available with $800 for early-bird (28 June 2024) and $1150 for regular (30 September 2024)

What if I have a special dietary requirement?

The meals and snacks offered in a buffet style including halal and vegetarian options. You may feel free to choose the food that suits your requirement

Can I pay with a credit card?

No, we accept the registration fees in the form of transfer only.

What to do after I transfer my payment?

You will receive an invoice by email following your online registration. Using the link provided in the same email, kindly upload proof of payment (either a scan, photo, or screenshot of the payment) clearly showing the sender’s details, receiver’s details, date, and the amount transferred. Confirmation of registration will be sent after proof of payment is received and the transaction is completed.
