Call for Applications: The APEC Entrepreneurship Education Program (AEEP) 2021: “Capacity Building

for APEC Youth Social Entrepreneurs: Work and Challenge Together”.

The Republic of Korea has proposed the APEC Entrepreneurship Education Program 2021 on the theme of ‘Capacity Building for APEC Youth Social Entrepreneurs: Work and Challenge Together’. The program will invite 35 university students from  APEC member economies and provide educational contents on social entrepreneurship in APEC. The participating students will be grouped into teams and will share their ideas and lessons with social entrepreneurs in APEC as mentors.

The 2021 APEC Entrepreneurship Education Program (AEEP) is a one-week-long capacity building program, which is designed exclusively for college and university students in the region. The virtual education program aims to enhance students’:

1) Understanding of APEC;

2) Knowledge about social entrepreneurship; and

3) Individual competencies and skills for employability

The AEEP also aims to foster individual students’ capacity building such as business analysis, planning, and communication skills. With individual assignments and team projects, the students will be equipped with competencies and skills required in the globalised and digitalised era. By doing so, ultimately, the program aims to contribute to broadening the social entrepreneurship ecosystem by inviting the stakeholders and initiate start-ups to solve social problems in the region.
