The 2018 Southeast Asian Higher Education (SEA-HiEd) Forum on Lifelong Learning for Skills and Employability

The 2018 Southeast Asian Higher Education (SEA-HiEd) Forum on Lifelong Learning for Skills and Employability

The Southeast Asian Higher Education (SEA-HiEd) Forum is organised in conjunction with the Southeast Asian Higher Education Senior Officials Meeting (SEA-HiEd SOM), formerly the Meeting of Directors General/Secretary General/Commissioner of Higher Education in Southeast Asia. The Forum provides a platform for national authorities responsible for higher education as well as university executives and faculty to address key issues in higher education for the Southeast Asian region.

This year, the SEA-HiEd Forum is co-organised by SEAMEO RIHED and the Higher Education Policy Division, Ministry of Education, Singapore, and will focus on national policies and implementation plans towards lifelong learning as well as the role of higher education institutions in supporting this direction. It will explore the strategies and trends in developing lifelong learning initiatives for skills and employability, including different challenges faced. The Forum is intended to promote the exchange of knowledge and create valuable inputs to enhance collaboration in lifelong learning for the region of Southeast Asia.
