The 2017 Regional Seminar on Curriculum Structure and Development for Southeast Asian Higher Education, 4 August 2017, Jakarta, Indonesia 2017

 

On 4 August 2017, SEAMEO RIHED and the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (MORTHE), Indonesia co-organized the Regional Seminar on “Curriculum Structure and Development for Southeast Asian Higher Education” at the Sultan Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia, in conjunction with the 25th SEAMEO RIHED Governing Board Meeting. Over 100 participants comprising policy makers in higher education, university executives, faculty members and other experts in higher education from the Southeast Asian region attended the Regional Seminar.

During the Seminar, country papers were presented by distinguished representatives from 10 SEAMEO Member Countries to provide updates on the current status, national practices and developments on the undergraduate curriculum structure, including the delivery of undergraduate education such as online and e-learning, and curriculum evaluation and assessment. Regional insights into the structuring and implementation of undergraduate curricula, including the development of learning outcomes, were shared to promote greater regional cooperation and alignment in higher education among SEAMEO Member Countries.

SEAMEO RIHED Regional Seminars have been held in conjunction with the SEAMEO RIHED Governing Board Meeting since 2005. The theme varies every year based on the current trends and interests. SEAMEO RIHED Regional Seminars have covered the following selected themes in higher education.
