Going Global 2018 ‘Global connections, local impact’

SEAMEO RIHED had thehonour to be invited to Going Global 2018 held on 2-4 May 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which was co-hosted by British Council and Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education. Going Global is a conference for international education leaders to discuss the future of higher education and share knowledge. Themed ‘Global connections, local impact’, Going Global 2018 addressed a question about how contemporary higher education can play a role in societies while being globally connected and locally engaged.

On 4 May 2018, Dr. Chantavit Sujatanond, Centre Director of SEAMEO RIHED, was invited to be a panelist of the session ‘Student Mobility Experience’. She shared how the student mobility is taking place in Southeast Asia, drawing a case from SEAMEO RIHED’s engagement in ASEAN International Mobility for Students (AIMS) Programme.


Dr. Chantavit Sujatanond, Centre Director of SEAMEO RIHED, gives a presentation about the regional perspective on student mobility taking place in Southeast Asia.
