       The SEA-NLP (Southeast Asian Nutrition Leadership Program) is part of the ENLP (European Nutrition Leadership Program) network. It is organized by the SEAMEO RECFON (Regional Center for Food and Nutrition).


To equip participants with competencies of leadership which prepare them to be catalyst to enhance development of nutrition

Participants are requested to submit online application before 2 October 2015


For some countries, a visa entering into Japan is required. The host university will provide any necessary documents and support in order to obtain the visa. Participants are responsible for fees charged for visa process.

Travel Arrangement


Participants required to prepare an international flight from their countries to the Narita International Airport (NRT).

Shuttle Services

Shuttle buses from/to NRT airport to the hotels available on

–  21 October (Arrival) at 10:00 , 14:00 and 18:30

–  24 October (Departure) at 10:00 (morning)

On the day of arrival, staffs will wait at the arrival lobby of the airport and take you to the point of shuttle bus stop.

SEAMEO RIHED and Fulbright Thailand will co-host the 2015 International Workshop on “Innovative, Rigorous, and Open-minded IROs” with a focus on the concept of internationalization on higher education as a means to strengthen international activities and create a regional network of International Relations Officers (IROs) in ASEAN.


 To explore the roles of IROs in higher education internationalization with a view to drawing linkages and reciprocal supports between the two.
 To revisit practices and challenges of IROs focusing on the common issues in order to develop mutual standards and practices.
 To observe cross-cultural management in the private sector and discuss its application for higher education institutions.


The expected outcome will be the development of standard practices agreed by participants, which would be used for further cooperation among respective higher education institutions, thus enhancing regional education networking.


 Directors, Deputy Directors, Officers, Coordinators and Administrators of International Relations Offices from Southeast Asia.
 Academic officers responsible for education internationalization, as well as representatives of higher education institutions participating the ASEAN International Mobility for Students Programme (AIMS).

* Maximum capacity – 30 participants


The workshop is scheduled from 12 – 16 May 2015.

2014 University Leadership Development Workshops









About the Workshops

SEAMEO RIHED and the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges (AGB) in partnership with the Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT) are proud to announce a new annual series of workshops designed to enhance the skills, knowledge and experience of Southeast Asian higher education leaders. The intention of the workshops is to better prepare university executives, council members and administrators to successfully guide their institutions through the financial, technological and pedagogical transformation anticipated in the years ahead.

This year’s workshop will expand participants’ understanding of fundamental leadership practices to explore the value of enhanced institutional governance. Attendees will gain insights into new approaches to improve academic quality, build upon national reputations, deepen understanding of international rankings and generate additional revenue.
